The colors in peacock feathers lend themselves well to a wedding. With the blue and green shades, you can easily find a combination that works for your ceremony. Con: There is a good reason why some states or jurisdictions have laws in place which are designed to prevent impulsive marriages. Don’t forget that Vegas is also famous for its quickie divorces. Think of it this way: if you have known each other for a long time and don’t want to waste another day, a Vegas wedding could be ideal. On the other hand, if you just met at a casino last night, well, maybe waiting a little while to tie the knot is not such a bad thing!

Why Star Wars? What is it that makes the Star Wars mythos have such staying power? It could be the simple idea behind the story – that good and evil truly do exist and that people choose, through their actions and alliances, which one they advocate. Another important theme is that no matter how bad you are, there is always time to return to the Good side of the Force. Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vadar because he allowed hate, despair, grief, and the lust for power overtake him. He committed all sorts of atrocities (like blowing up Princess Leia’s home planet, cutting off his own son’s hand, etc.) but in the end his love for his children saved him from the Dark Side of the Force. So his spirit was redeemed and at peace.

Isn’t that sort of what a wedding is about? Regardless of your past, you have this amazing opportunity to start life anew with the person you love. You both have put aside your past transgressions, you’ve forgiven each other for all your faults, and you’ve decided to share your lives in a union of truth and love. What could be closer to the good side of the Force than that?

So, if you want to use this theme to illustrate the magic and the goodness of your union, there are easy ways to incorporate this theme without spending a lot of money or time. For instance, you could merely get a Star Wars cake topper, or you could incorporate Star Wars action figures into your centerpieces. You could include Star Wars graphics on your invitations, or you could hand out Lego Star Wars party favors to your guests.

Here are a few tips to help you put together a beautiful wedding, inspired by nature.

The venue: It has to be outdoors. Think about parks, woodlands or gardens. You can erect a marquee if you feel the need for shelter perhaps from the sun and as somewhere to retreat in the cooler evening temperatures.

The reception: Treat you guests to gourmet picnic baskets and provide them with picnic blankets to sit on. Serve up dishes made with seasonal produce, which could also be organic and locally grown.
